The reviews are in for Daniel McNeet’s timely, political thriller “Operation Downfall.”

“I thoroughly enjoyed Operation Downfall. Your characters are well-drawn and your plotting is concise and engaging – not to mention wonderfully dark. Thanks again for sending me a copy of your terrific book.”

McNeet grabs his reader from the first sentence and doesn’t let go! Mariah O’Leary is my new heroine. She is gorgeous, smart, witty, clever and dedicated to justice. You’ll love her. He writes his ladies as some of us wish we could be . . . and some of us are. He thinks like Clancy, Ludlum and Silva.

I hope your tongue is not permanently adhered to your cheek. Yes, your object is quite obvious, the exposure of the veneer of the system. You have succeeded. Your characters, plot, and development all reflect the mind of a thoroughly sophisticated and extremely bright man who has achieved what most authors have yet to experience. It was a masterfully executed work, and I look forward to reading many more of your creations.

I read your book and enjoyed it very much.Shades of Hammett and Mcdonald. I’d like to meet that woman for a drink sometimes.”

McNeet literally made my mind explode with this novel! Everything I have always heard from war vets and assumed was due to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder made me question my political stand point. This novel introduces a modern day Robin Hood (Robin is a female in this case) Mariah O’Leary, a dedicated lawyer starts out with a simple missing persons case and uncovers a micromanaging government behind the scenes. Countless bribes, blackmail, swept murders and a “war plan” spiral out of control when a confidential secretary finds out her true identity. An oil tycoon and his president —of the U.S. that is soon part as illegal documents are found showcasing a plan to conspire the deaths of millions of American citizens. O’Leary goes beyond her law duties and exposes those involved while maintaining her dedication to her people. So, the next time you hear another “war crazy” stop and listen because you never know that the stories you hear might not be so far fetched from the truth. Thank you, Mr. McNeet for saying, thinking, and writing our darkest political fears. I pray that our society as a whole would never allow such a need for greed and power. Then again, I know might is the root of all evil and I am sure this has, will and is happening as we speak.

The political thriller, Operation Downfall  by Daniel McNeet, is a book about conspiracy and danger for every man, woman and child in America.

Operation Downfall is the work and creative planning of one innovative author named Daniel McNeet. As the author brings to light what happens when money rules the roost, overpowers your life and greed becomes your own personal vow and goal. You never know what might happen or when and where you just might fall prey to those capable of creating your downfall!

An ending so explosive you won’t see it coming and neither will those who think they are going to get away with it. One smart lawyer, some very powerful people and a group of corrupt politicians, corrupticians, all vying for the same thing: running the government of the United States. Mariah trying to eliminate the guilty, the treasonous and the corrupt others whom are just wanting to rule in the style of one man who killed so many in Germany and created his own dictatorship. Operation Downfall should teach the corrupt what happens when Mariah O’Leary, Greg, a former special operations officer, and Jerry Spencer, a former CIA field officer and the most decorated, and their teams decide your fate.

One interesting story, one unique ending and one lawyer who has the tenacity so many wish they did. Let’s see if the author brings her back for more and find out who would dare cross paths with her.

Daniel McNeet has created quite the web of intrigue, corruption, deceit, and politics. There are so many twists and turns that you’ll be surprised at every corner. At times, you’ll be shocked. The beautiful Mariah O’Leary is hired by her old college friend, the President of the United States, to find his son at the same time she is hired by an industrialist to find his missing secretary. Immediately after, she is hired by the son and secretary, who are lovers, to protect and stop secret plans the industrialist and President have put together. They want to murder thousands of poor, black people and blame it on terrorists. They want to go to war with Iran to gain access to their oil. The ring leader behind all of this is the Vice President, and his consortium of oil barons, who want the President killed. There is incest, kidnapping, murder. All the things you expect from corrupt politicians, or as Mariah calls them, corrupticians. She is a very smart, very strong woman. She mostly works in the ghetto, helping those who can’t afford representation any other way. She is such a good person, you want her to win. She has by her side a bunch of ex CIA and ex-Special Forces clandestine operatives, who will do as she asks, no matter when and without questions. Can they turn the war plan upside down and make it fail? This is one of the best political thrillers I have read in a long time. It’s a page turner. You hate the bad guys and cheer for the good guys. As a geek, the technology was exciting. The various ways murder was committed were very interesting. It’s not your run of the mill shoot & kill. I’m very much looking forward to more of Mariah O’Leary. I highly recommend this book for anyone who likes complex political thrillers.

This was a thoroughly enjoyable, compelling read. I found myself waking up early to follow the plot with its amazingly complex details. It is a refreshing liberal point of view of our political potentialities with two enchanting feminine heroines. This is highly recommended for anyone disgusted with our political process. You will be swept along with the exciting tension of the dangerous drama. Will our country be saved in the future by women?

Daniel McNeet’s OPERATION DOWNFALL is a cracking good read…fast, intricate, intriguing plot with a wonderful protagonist who beats the boys and strikes a blow for the Constitution at every turn. If you occasionally despair for democracy, this one will give you hope. A cautionary tale of good vs. evil with enough surprises and twists to keep you reading long after it is time to turn off the light. Don’t miss it!

McNeet delivers a page turner! I enjoyed the twists and turns in the mulit-layered plot; great characters, great dialogue, great suspense. I was hooked. Operation Downfall, mirrors the political landscape that has become both acceptable and repulsive to a country that prides itself on freedom and democracy. Novelist Daniel McNeet has done it in writting this taunting-political thriller which serves as a literary fable for a country in search of its self-identity and moral sense.
