On Being In Love

by Daniel McNeet on August 29, 2012

Good day, good people.

For devotees of the English language: Stochastic is an adjective. It means unpredictable.

I trust her, and she has always been there for me when I needed her; she told me the truth and did not lie. She gave her word and honored it even though she did not have to. The journey has been arduous, and she is still by my side.

She has been my sweetheart since childhood and the love affair continues to this day. I have been in love with her since I came to know, admire and respect her. There is no doubt, the first words she gave me I have lived by and are living by them today. They are still alive and vibrant, and I will live by them in the future. She has given me every opportunity to be the best I can be, and I have succeeded thanks to her and the economic freedom she provided. Though she has no religious beliefs, she is tolerant and allows me to worship whom and/or what I wish with patience and understanding. The education, family and religion she has given me are the ingredients of the steel made in the blast furnace of life to build good character and a moral sense. She has every physical attribute a man would want. Her beauty is unsurpassed, and she has been called majestic.

But lately we have had some turmoil in our lives. She has been having some problems for a few years. She is not perfect, but who is? Not I for sure or anything close to it. And still she cares for me. What makes her interesting are her idiosyncrasies and not being a Stepford. I have infinite loyalty to her, and I will not abandon her during her time of troubles. I owe her gratitude and loyalty; she is a giver.

When people are in trouble, she is the first to offer assistance no matter their faith or place. She cares for me when I am ill.

My irreverent humor makes others laugh, and she permits this without reservation. No target is exempt from my humor or ripostes, no quarter is given and none expected.

My sweetheart is a fierce defender of my imperfect life and has compassion and empathy for others. Aggression bothers her, and she will mete out justice or retribution as she sees fit to protect her family.

Walking through the meadow alone allows me to take some time to waste time and see if the answer to our interrupted happiness can come to me. Abandonment is out of the question, but I could easily. I do need to determine how I am going to handle our future. A daily task is seeking wisdom and is best done when it is quiet, and before I fall asleep. But seeking is not enough. I need an epiphany to repay her.

O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America! God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!

Wake up, America! Investigate before you vote! She needs us desperately at this moment, because her health is stochastic. Cannot we break up the factions in our great land and return us to brotherhood and tolerance? Let us force the candidates who are campaigning for Congress by outrage and vote to work for her instead of lobbyists, special interests and themselves? She has given us so much, and she has asked for so little in return. Too many have given their lives to protect her, because they loved her so. I do not wish for her to die of internal injuries.

I hope this post will give you something to consider and discuss. To be successful you must understand other people’s opinions and care about them.
