Alone

by Daniel McNeet on July 7, 2016

Good day, good people.

For devotees of the English language: Eremophobia is a noun. It is the fear of being left alone.

There is no “us” and logic dictates no “them”. We live in an interdependent global society. A society without borders. To progress with the principle of no “us” and therefore, no “them”, we must start and build this cornerstone in America.

At one time, there was an expression frequently heard, “When America sneezes the world gets a cold.” Then the European Union, EU, started to form in 1951 with six countries. As of today, it has 28 states’ membership. Britain has not filed under Article 50 to leave the EU. The 2008 recession caused America to sneeze. Then, Greece sneezed, and all 26 other members and America got a cold. As you can see, there is just a “we.”

A long time ago at another place and time, I sat on a bench in a beautiful park. The bench was near the entrance to the library. The fragrance inside emitted by the paper and leather of the books was wonderful. Sometimes I sat for hours reading a book outside on a bench. I watched people enjoying themselves with others. Everyone was dressed differently. All looked untroubled in their camaraderie. The quietude allowed me the time to realize how fortunate I was. There is no substitute for growing up in a loving and tolerant family.

It was summer time. I was around twelve. Many retired people and others were playing checkers, chess, and Roque. Even though I had a brother who I loved and still do, I enjoyed my company. If you can entertain yourself, you can be alone in a room full of people and enjoy watching each person.

I did not realize at the time all children and families are not as fortunate. I was in a child’s world of protection. How fortunate I was to have a foundation so later in life I could be loving, loved and tolerant.

When you care, it is easy to have despair. How can you not have when you see what is taking place in the world today. I cannot dismiss the strife with “I feel sorry for them.” Or, “How fortunate I am.” I care and cannot help by providing a solution. There is some slight satisfaction when I listen to Kofi Anan and Zbigniew Brzezinski whom do not have solutions either. Kofi Anan said, “I am trying to find a country that would take Bashir Assad and his Alawite colleagues so they would be safe.” Do they deserve to be safe? Is this a ploy by Anan so the criminals can be prosecuted? Why are they not going to be tried before the International Criminal Court in the Hague for their crimes against humanity?

Anan also said George W. Bush went to war illegally in Iraq. Therefore, he and his cabal are responsible for the homicides of the U.S. and Iraqi military personnel and civilians. There is not doubt the failure in Iraq caused the insurgency in Iraq and Syria. We can give credit to Bush for these ongoing massacres.

So the answer becomes: the population is decreased every day in addition to natural causes, by senseless murders by heads of state that have and will go unpunished. For there can never be commensurate punishment for genocide or crimes against humanity of the defenseless and vulnerable.

Every day one receives an onslaught of horrific crimes peddled as news. The viewer sees the suffering of others in a land far away and feels how fortunate he or she is to be living in America in a home that is in foreclosure caused by the obscene greed of people who caused the 2008 recession by illegal acts. Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse, and Citigroup were major contributors to the 2008 recession.
Preet Bhahara, the deputy attorney general for the southern district of New York, is also the sheriff of Wall Street. I hope he has indictments in progress for these criminals.

If you care, what should you do, stand by and do nothing? What do you feel when you see the financial struggling of our citizens caused by a few greedy criminals?

Suggestion: Write to your members of Congress and have them order the Department of Justice to prosecute them. Why have Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, Wolfowitz and others who authorized torture not been indicted? Why have they not been indicted for going to war illegally and for the following deaths?

What is your thought on the contribution you can make to the indictment of the people whom caused the recession and the illegal war in Iraq and put them in the prison below?

I hope this post will give you something to consider and discuss. To be successful, you must understand other people’s opinions and care about them.

I care about your opinion. Contacting me with comments and constructive criticisms at http://bit.ly/z5MgmK with honesty and pleasantness their constant companions will always be welcomed.
