Good day, good people.
For devotees of the English language: Hypobulia is a noun. It means difficulty in making decisions.
The Internet can be a source of knowledge, liberation and freedom, but also it can be used to oppress, repress and exploit. We know the Cheney administration led by fear, ordered illegal wire taps on American citizens’ land lines, cell phones and emails by the telephone companies and the National Security Agency. Then when the illegality was exposed, the administration gave them immunity. Why? Sounds like an update of the corruption of the Nixon administration with its enemies list, mean-spirited revenge but with better technology.
There is no doubt the Internet is marvelous and wonderful and I would not want to be without it. Modern technology is another tool to make life more convenient and helpful. But in every affirmative there is a negative.
First rule: Do not ever provide any personal information and trust no matter the site. Bank America and other companies have been caught selling their depositors information. The companies’ sites are not secure no matter they say. You are not anonymous. There are limits to free speech. If you violate the law you can be hunted by law enforcement.
Second rule: do not say anything you do not want to read on the front page of a major newspaper or on television news. Give respect, get respect and be pleasant. Avoid the deranged and delusional hecklers and zealots for they can dangerous.
The Internet is alive with pedophiles whom do not want to control their sexual predation and as a result molest children. This is now more prevalent with mobile applications like the social networking app on Skout and other sites. Adults posing as teenagers arrange for meetings with teenagers and then sexually assault them. These apps arrange for people to meet, flirt, chat and date strangers who live near one another. Please teach your children and grandchildren to be digitally smart — a stranger is danger. The predators are using the users’ profiles to entangle them into dangerous and life-threatening liaisons.
Because of the Internet the electrical grid and other essential services in the U.S. are cyberdefenseless for two reasons. The companies involved know they are vulnerable. And they do not wish to spend the money to try and make the services secure. They are dreaming they are not going to be a victim of crippling cyberattacks. Their firewalls if they exist are cyberattack sieves. This lack of dedication only demonstrates the companies’ disregard for their customers who will suffer for their incompetence. But again, this is not an unusual attitude among CEOs at big companies, sovereigns, whom believe they are above the law. To give them the best of it, maybe they suffer from hypobulia. Besides, they probably have a diesel-backup generator at their homes which is activated when there is a loss of power.
The United States and Israel cooperated to perfect Stuxnet and Flame malware. It was successful with first strikes of cyberattacks against Iran’s uranium-enrichment program. The malware impeded the production of nuclear weapons. This will now only challenge, embolden and legitimize others who will justify their attacks on the U.S. based on a delusion or hatred.
China, Russia and other countries and foreign companies engage in cyberespionge nonstop against the infrastructure of the United States. Particularly the Department of Defense and other highly-classified computers in the U.S. to steal the DoDs’, U.S. companies’ and our countries’ secrets every minute of every hour and have been and will continue to be successful. The Chinese have successfully stolen our attack submarine technology. China is rearming and is building a naval force to impose its control in the South China Sea and the Indian Ocean.
Governments and companies have dedicated themselves to sophisticated surveillance, propaganda and censorship on the Internet. Be aware, America. Just because it is written, on television, online does not make it true. If you have an interest in what is being presented to you — investigate before you expose yourself to harm or inconvenience which will make your eyes water. Google is a leader in this type of illegal and invasive surveillance. Their program called Google Street View they told us was to give a worldwide graphic tableau of streetscapes for our benefit. But clandestinely they were illegally purloining from unprotected Wi-Fi networks in homes and businesses passwords and data. Another company which believes it is above the law. No moral sense at Google.
What is your thought on the contribution you can make to protect yourself and your family?
I hope this post will give you something to consider. To be successful you must understand other people’s opinions and care about them.
